What PERSI Means to me?

In today's uncertain world, knowing that PERSI's Base Plan will provide a lifetime benefit to supplement Social Security and personal savings provides reassurance for members. The tax advantages and low fees of the optional Choice 401(k) Plan maximize personal investment dollars. The disability and death benefits provide an additional safety net for the whole family.

myPERSI – myPERSI Account is a secure, safe and easy to use environment where you can find out your Base Plan and Choice 401(k) Plan balances, use the Account Balances and Projections calculator to estimate your retirement needs, use the Purchase of Service (POS) calculator, or view and print your Annual Statements.

Base Plan - this is your regular, mandatory PERSI plan. Your Base Plan is a Defined Benefit plan, meaning your retirement benefit is based on a defined formula.

Choice 401(k) Plan - this is your PERSI account that you may contribute to voluntarily. It contains gain sharing distributions, any voluntary contributions you make, rollovers you may make from other plans, possible employer contributions, and the earnings on those funds. Your Choice Plan is a Defined Contribution plan, meaning that the amount you receive at retirement is based on the contributions and earnings in the plan.
